The history of fashion house Balenciaga goes back to 1919 when the founder Cristobal Balenciaga opened its doors to its first fashion house in the Spanish city of San Sebastian. Soon there were branches in Barcelona and Madrid. His designs were mainly benefit of the Spanish royal family and nobility.
